Swarathma’s music combines folk tunes with western sounds. An incredibly talented folk band with a strong socio-political and cultural conscience, Swarathma is nothing short of a riot. With a constant dose of experimentation thrown into the mix, and a healthy amount of surprise, the Bangalore musicians can make people of all age groups groove to their tunes. Having toured India’s interiors folk rockers have soaked in intricacies from all parts of the vast landscape and infused it with their trademark sound. In 2014, they collaborated with the Wanton Bishops, a Lebanese blues band, as part of initiative driven by Red Bull Sound Select. Currently, the band is in the studio recording their third full-length album, which will feature multiple collaborations, including the likes of Coke Studio Sensation Clinton Cerejo.
