DESCRIPTION:Angaraag Mahanta\, popularly known as Papon\, is a singer\, multi-instrumentalist\, composer\, record producer and a live performer. He is blessed with a voice that is smooth and soulful at the same time. His innovative experiments are rich with ambient electronica\, acoustic folk\, electro ghazals to classical sounds. In Bollywood\, Papon’s rise to fame has been with songs as ‘Moh Moh Ke Dhage’ from Dum Laga Ke Haisha\, ‘Kyon’ from Barfi \,‘Jiyein Kyun’ from Dum Maro Dum\, ‘Humnava’ from Hamari Aduri Kahani\, ‘Labon Ka Karobar’ from Befikre etc. Papon has also sang in movies as Sanju\, Raid\, Karwaan\, Sui Dhaaga.Papon is one of the pioneers of Indian non-film music. He has been part of all the 4 seasons of Coke Studio India and also produced two full episodes of MTV Unplugged. Papon was awarded as the Best Male Playback Singer at Star Screen Awards\, Mirchi Music Awards\, TOIFA\, GIMA\, IIFA-Madrid.Papon along with his band has been performing live on almost all major Indian Music Festivals\, various college festivals\, numberous corporate events & private events in India\, USA\, Europe\, Middle East etc.
