With roots set in folk music and a fondness for storytelling, she identifies as a lyrics-first musician.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>She launched her career in 2020 with the release of two back to back EP\u2019s &#8211; Things I Saw in a Dream (August 2020) and C.E.A.S.E (September 2020) followed by singles September Embers (December 2020) &amp; Empire of Fear (April 2021). Her music has performed fairly well across both streaming platforms and YouTube, having crossed 100K+ streams organically across Spotify and Apple music, and 100K + views on YouTube channel &#8211; all within a few months of her first release. Her EP C.E.A.S.E was also ranked #3 on the &#8217;10 Best EPs of 2020&#8242; list by Rolling Stone India. In September 2020, she won a PAN India \u201cSinger-Songwriter contest\u201d organised by OKListen and Compass Box Studio, which led to the recording and release of \u201cEmpire of Fear.&#8221;<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Anoushka has been featured in several leading media outlets including Rolling Stone India, Score Magazine, Homegrown,\u00a0 The Indian Express , GQ, Mid day, amongst several others. Her sound, as well as songwriting, connotes a warm; almost nostalgic feel.
