SENZA

With their first album (awarded album Antena 1), they performed on over 200 stages in India, USA, China, Timor, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Algeria, and a few dozen in Europe and Africa. Musicians and travelers compose songs inspired by their travels around the world. In their shows, they attract  the public to come and enjoy their music at remote places where they have been, such as India, China, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Mongolia, Timor and dozens of others, making the public travel with the travel stories that they tell in their songs .

But it’s not just the sounds and travel stories that shape a SENZA concert. Inside and outside the songs, reflections on the world and on emerging issues of society are brought to light. Sustainability, equality, inclusion and social justice are addressed in a comprehensive language, wrapped in a positive sound texture: a unique, warm, evocative sound, with colorful instrumentation, full of identity. On live performances, SENZA is always sharing an innovative dialogue with the audience, with exotic brushstrokes and danceable rhythms.

After partnerships with musicians such as Rão Kyao and Júlio Pereira, the participation of the artist Carlão, marks the first single of the latest work by SENZA, released in August 2022. Musicians and travelers, are enthusiastic sound explorers of the expressions of Lusophone and Portuguese Language around the world. The intersection of influences and sounds in their songs, illustrate the traveling experiences, the landscapes and the encounters that live in their wanderings.The experience and maturity reflected in the international career and in the distinctive sonority of the band, whose compositions reveal a markedly Portuguese identity and yet imbued with exoticism and cultural transversality, justify that their work come with the partnership of artists such as Rão Kyao, Júlio Pereira and Carlão.
